We have a lovely selection of handmade book sleeves. These make the perfect  reading accessory and a lovely unique gift for any book lover.

One of our lovely customers gave these the nickname “book sleeping bags”. Put your book to sleep and keep it safe and protected in your bag while you are out and about. We LOVE this idea.

These book sleeves are made specifically to protect your book. They will fit most standard size paperback books (any book purchased on this site).

As they are handmade they are all individual. We have a great selection of fabrics and designs so there is something to suit every book fan. Each book sleeve is lightly padded and features a button and loop closure.

In line with Laurel Lane’s ecofriendly zero-waste ethos, some fabrics may be repurposed. But be assured that all booksleeve fabrics have been carefully chosen for their quality and design. We love them and are sure you will too.

Condition rating

All our books are carefully selected and are in great re-readable condition. They are the kind of books we would love to receive ourselves so you can confidently gift them knowing they are exactly as described. We use actual photos of each book in our listings so you know what you are buying. All books are priced the same, as we believe the value of a book is not in the condition of its cover, but the content of its pages.

Excellent – We’re not even sure if it has even been read it looks that good. Great for gifting, but a sad state for a pre-loved book. These books deserve to be read!!

Great – A book that has been read but treated with care.

Loved – These books have been well read and enjoyed maybe more than once. Cover may be dog-eared or corners of pages have been bent.

Vintage – They may be musty, but that’s their charm. There may be evidence of the previous owners (inscriptions in the cover, the odd marking etc), it’s their history that makes them more precious, its all part of their narrative. These books are old and show it – and we love them. Open the cover and breathe it all in.
